2 Hour Hawk or Owl Experience

During a Welcome meeting, you will be invited to choose (with guidance) a Bird of Prey to spend time with during your Owl or Hawk Experience from a selection resident at RFOC.

Time is allocated for you to get to know your chosen Bird of Prey and for the Bird to get to know you.

You will receive instruction on handling a Bird of Prey while some information about the species is offered.

Once Group members are comfortable holding their Bird of Prey, you will then walk along some of the woodland trails with the Bird on your glove.

At the Flying Field, you will be invited to sit and listen to a talk on the History of Falconry before returning to the Reception area. Where, further 1-2-1 time is yours before the Birds of Prey are returned to their blocks.

Weather conditions permitting, a Bird of Prey will be flown for your appreciation. After which, you will be Welcome to explore the RFOC and look again at the collection of Owls, Hawks, Falcons, Buzzards, Eagles and Vultures.
